National Pony Society (NPS) Scotland Finals

The prestigious NPS Scotland Finals will be held at Scone Palace International Horse Trials on Friday of the event. These comprise a variety of classes for Mountain and Moorland ponies: Novice Ridden, Junior Ridden, Open Ridden, Working Hunter Pony, Silver Medals finals for Ridden and In-Hand ponies, In-Hand, Lead Rein and First Ridden.

This competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings, 4 years old and over, to be registered in the main body of their respective stud book. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, UK Ponies & Horses.
This class is a qualifying class for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 7th – 11th October 2026.  Qualification will not pass below 3rd place.  

Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office.

Qualifiers

Qualifiers are held at a number of shows throughout the season the length and breadth of Scotland and Scone Palace International Horse Trials “tickets” are coveted and keenly contested by NPS Scotland members.

Stabling

Limited stabling will be available onsite. Competitors will only be able to book a stable for the night before or after the day they compete. There will be the opportunity when booking stables to request additional nights.  If there is space these will be allocated once entries close.
